Though Eric spent most of his childhood in Muldrow, his family also lived in Illinois, Michigan, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Arizona as well as Juarez, Mexico - all while Eric was small child. From his earliest memory, Eric recalls his mother singing and attributes his gravitating toward music and singing to her rousing renditions of songs including "Bill Bailey "and "Has Anybody Seen My Gal". Eric sang in both church and school choirs, and his interest in music expanded when he joined the band and played the saxophone in the 5th grade. He attended all the choir competitions and received consistent high marks for individual performance. After college, Eric moved to New Mexico and worked in the corporate world as a marketing manager for five years, but consistently felt he was not fulfilled creatively. In 1999 at age 28, Eric made the crucial decision to relocate to Los Angeles where he would have the advantage of being able to audition full-time for films, television, and commercials.
